Common Shareholder Number for NZ FASTER Listed Securities
The New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZSE) has recently introduced the ability for shareholders to have a ‘single’ Common Shareholder Number (CSN) and common FASTER Identification Number (FIN) to access their holdings across all FASTER share registries. The NZSE have confirmed the use of CSNs will be mandatory from 1st February 2001, meaning clients will be required to apply for their CSN before purchasing any further FASTER securities from this date. The new CSN and FIN number can only be allocated to a shareholder by a NZSE Member firm. These changes have been introduced by the NZSE to make the process of buying and selling shares faster and easier for you, an investor and shareholder. A little effort by you will ensure you will never have to worry about the confusion of a multitude of identification codes again. |
