Hi folks,
Any comments on the following as to whether this is
a down faze that I happened to stumble into or is there a long term out of
favour sentiment creeping into these type of stocks listed on the London Stock
Exchange?
Edinburgh US Tracker Trust PLC (EUS.L)
Fidelity Asian Values PLC (FAS.L)
Fidelity European Values PLC (FEV.L)
Fleming American Inv Trust PLC (FAM.L)
Fleming Japanese Inv Trust PLC (FLMJ.L)
INVESCO Japan Discovery Trust PLC (IJD.L)
Pacific Assets Trust PLC (PAC.L)
Schroder Japan Growth Fund PLC (SJG.L)
TR European Growth Trust PLC (TRG.L)
Tribune Trust PLC (TBE.L)
The advice I was given by a broker was to spread
around the world. When one part is out of favour some other part of the world
will be in favour. To date the entire portfolio is down 22%. While the dollar
was in the pits it wasn't so bad but now with the rising dollar it is becoming a
double whammy. Is there a cycle these sort of stocks go through that one should
wait to see if it returns? Should I stop looking at them and wait for a few
years to see if any of them are still listed?
Thanks..
