I know there are many Nufarm fans on this forum (Mark comes to
mind). I think it's an excellent company that, sooner or later, will be
recognised by investors as being undervalued.
Yes, despite the 'house' issue (ie,I'm about
to build one), I still hold my Nufarm. IMHO the current price offers good
buying, especially from a long term perspective. Given the current volatility
in the markets, however, I'm not expecting a quick turnaround.
It is interesting though how the ASX move
seems to have worked against it. The effect of this was disastrous for its
previous mainly NZ shareholders (many elderly), who thus became disadvantaged
for tax purposes (because many were invested for fully imputed dividends), and
who therefore dumped it, with no Aussies to take up the supply of shares
coming onto the market as the company is only small fry over there. Perhaps
management could have done a (much) better job in marketing NUF to Aussie
institutional investors?
(Jessie - finally out of
Nasdaq).
