> > Thanks Marilyn > > Gerry > Well Gerry, as useful a contributor to this forum as Marilyn is with her content, I wouldn't consider her advice on e-mail layout is that useful. The cleanest solution to the 'write your own table' problem is to create it in a non-proportional font. Much the same rules apply to ASCII art, as per the example below. If the picure you see below is distorted this means that you are not using a non-proportional font. _ / \_ / (_)---_ ( ( / {) ---_ \__ !_ _--/ -_ \/^\/^\__)_( \-_-^--^ __}--O0 \-/) \__0O / (") __<=>(___!!___ /______________\ /________________\ /________________ _\ !----------------- ! !X Red Baron ------! !X Marilyn M ------! !------------------! !__________________! Courier is one font that you could construct a table with. If you really *must* have something more fancy, don't start sending Microsoft Excel files about, with the associated risk of unwittingly transmitting viruses. Instead, learn how to create a web page using HTML, with whatever tables you deem desirable, then upload it to a free web provider. Then simply post the *link only* here. That way the subscriber is given the choice if they wish to view the fancy graphics, rather than being forced to download grossly bloated information. BTW Gerry, I am enjoying your contributions here.
