Jeffley - good point

I too sometimes wonder what the reason for these notices are. The FLB one about a new plant woiuld have been a lot more informative if there was something in the story besides opening a plant in Queensland which looks like it is getting some subsidies from the Queensland govt (reading between the lines?). Wouldn't it have been more informative that the plant expects to manufacture x whatevers and add $y to the bottom line.

IMHO ADV still wins the race for long announcements that might make investors a little happier but don't  tell them very much at all. If you have a few moments go back through some of them. More about the world then about themselves.

Obviously ADV needing a bit of a rev up - they have been very quiet lately. So this comes out the other day.

The announcement the other day makes you wonder what came first - the software or the service station.

Whow - what a piece of software. Lets build a big service station/travel centre around it.

ADV: ADVANTAGE SOFTWARE IN SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE'S BIGGEST PETROL STATION
Advantage Group's retail automation business has provided the essential software for the biggest petrol station in the Southern Hemisphere.

The A$15 million BP site opened at Coomera, near Brisbane, relying on Advantage to provide the software for its huge site.

The petrol station is called a travel centre and is twice the size of the largest forecourt in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting 33 pumps. The BP Coomera site is the first of six planned for South-East Queensland, a project worth  AUD$60 million, with Advantage's software playing a key role in the  development of each

Greg Cross, CEO of Advantage, says the software will play an important part in forecourt sites in Australia.

If this is such a big thing why not tell us what the sale was worth? or what it could be worth when the others get built. Isn't that what ADV want to know?

Is a notice like this a sign that ADV are finding it difficult getting from the $60M revenues to the "expected" $100M this year?

Shareholders do like being kept informed. Not trying to discourage the likes of ADV but make them a bit more meaningful.

Peter

Disc - don't have ADV (still too highly priced)  - or FLB
