i've suspected for a while that the building industry was ok (outside
auckland, i suppose) and that flb were very cheap.
as a dunedin dweller surrounded by a blossoming, if not booming hinterland,
the moaning about business confidence and the economy from the north has
increasingly seemed like sulky kids' reactions to their team's electoral
loss.
i was beginning to enjoy (almost) holding flb -- bought at 2.16 ages ago
until i read their press release today about the new factory in Brisbane.
what mealy-mouthed, weasle-worded pap. every cliche in the book except
"key tactical areas" (don't worry, it doesn't mean anything). i wish they
spelled 'targeted' and 'focused' incorrectly, then i could have sneered
with gusto.
the brisbane thing should have been great news, instead i'm left wondering
about the skills of the management team and its chosen communicators...
grrrump!
