Hi Graeme, This article in the Herald would not have helped Frucor's share price today - "Coca-Cola is about to launch a second attack on the wildly popular energy drinks market with a beverage buzz designed for the nightclub scene..." http://www.nzherald.co.nz/storydisplay.cfm?storyID=157780&thesection=busines s&thesubsection= I personally think it's a knee-jerk reaction - V is a mass-market energy drink, while "Burn", Coke's new product, is more aimed at nightclubs (where Red Bull is the dominant player). The article does briefly mention the fact that V has been losing some market share to Coca-Cola's "Lift Plus" but gives no figures. And does it matter anyway? Remember, the UK and Ireland is were the real potential market for V lies.... Any idea why it's dropped from $2-40 odd to today's $1-85? Heard any negative rumours?
