Hi Warner,

Welcome back from your holiday...you've missed a pretty rough month for a
lot of investors!

CEN has been doing very well indeed - a reflection perhaps of people moving
back into defensive stocks during times of volatility.

I thought TEL was a bargain when it was trading around $7 - you should have
seen my jaw when it hit $5.15 last week. Definitely in oversold territory
but still suffering from the worldwide negative sentiment against telco's.
I'll wait for another couple of weeks before deciding whether it's is a good
buy at these levels..(nice recovery today though). Will also see how the
situation pans out with Cable & Wireless in Aussie - that does look
promising.

IMHO, we are going to see volatile share prices for at least a couple of
more weeks. A combination of factors (including, but not limited to, worse
than expected corporate earnings in the U.S., violence in the Middle East,
high oil prices, a low Euro - and it's the month of October) will ensure
meandering global markets.

Have a great Labour weekend everybody - it will be good to have a couple of
days to relax, sit back and reflect on life and the sharemarket!

Best Regards

Benjamin Dutton
(Disc. hold neither TEL or CEN).
