Firstly there is no offence intended and I offered
my possible explanation. There are only two possible explanations for the
sometimes wierd variations that are published - content of the source data (eg
timing present or projected) and interpretation.Such are the variations that I
think some of the results are in error and hence the suggestion only of lack of
expertise. The only rule is to look into the accounts personally.
Now personally, I ignore current PEs and will only
use them to establish a PEG. If the company is without a profit then there is no
PE anyway and the PSR becomes the dominant feature.
All of the above is strictly a personal opinion and
everybody else should ignore it completely.
