"hi mikei'm a novice - so could you briefly
tell me what wouldhappen to the price
of FFS should it be recapitalised.cheers" The short answer to that is that I haven't a
clue; if I could successfully predict the short term price movements of shares I
would be a millionaire by now. In the event of a recapitalisation the company
would advise the market of the conditions, number and price of new shares,
placement or rights issue, impact on existing borrowings etc. The analysts will
then crunch the numbers and the big boys (the institutional investors) will
decide whether to buy or sell and the share price will move
accordingly.
As far as the rumour mill goes, I wouldn't take
much notice of it and I certainly would not be pinning any hopes of a sale price
over a dollar. IMHO a fair price for FFS is around 80 cents which is why I took
a punt at 62c today, however Tony could have the last laugh at 55c
