Re: [sharechat] Tony Haddon's comments on FFS
anyone buying forestry stocks after reading Buffetology deserves
what they get. Its a commodity stock if ever there was one.
And there have been articles lately pointing out that all sorts of
wood substitutes are now competing fiercely in the US on price and
quality in joinery and against wood as a material. Steel and aluminium
fittings, concrete and concrete products, brick, all sorts of plastic.
Where's the reliable growing strong cash flow?
Anyone looked at Carter Holt's gross yield lately? 3.7%. Ha ha ha.
Those funny guys who write about the yield on forestry projects in 30
years time....will they be there fronting up explaining to you in 30 yrs
time?
Try some Buffett stocks instead.
cheers,
Hugh
