One would be crazy to pay off the old interest free
student loan, but then earning a negative return was not the idea I had in mind
for it. Also they might gives doctors a break with their loans too, which is
what I am hanging out for. I don't necessarily see that it will only be limited
to doctors that brain-drain is a universal real phenomenon.

Subject: [sharechat] Best investment and
student loans
Some investment advisers advise paying off debt
as fast as possbile - others argue that you should start saving while you are
still repaying debt.
I'm interested to hear how many students or recent graduates are paying
your student loan off as quick as possible. I for one have been taking
advantage of interest free loans to buy shares!
What impact do the possibility of government
write-offs and promises of future "dollar for dollar" repayments have on your
decision whether to pay off quick or save?

Oliver
