GEN: TPW: TRUSTPOWER FORMS JOINT VENTURE WITH INSIGHT DATA

TrustPower today announced it had formed a joint venture with Insight Data of
Auckland for the production and marketing of a new power measurement and
payment device.  The joint venture will be operated through a new company
called POS Power Limited - Trustpower will hold 50% of the shares in the new
company which has a capital of $1m.  The device is believed to be a world
first and provides "an in the home" simple and convenient method of payment,
using either a debit or credit card.  Patents have been applied for both in
NZ and overseas._

 

Insight Data is 100% owned by Cadmus Technology, formerly Hi Tech Investments. Heritage Gold hold 14% of Cadmus' shares with another 20% held by Heritage shareholders.

Cadmus is due to be listed shortly on the main board.
