[sharechat] CEN - a safe haven?

From: Michael Gore <michgore@i4free.co.nz>

How concerned is everyone over the inflationary effects of combined high oil
prices
and low dollar? I was trying to think about a share which might be insulated
from
the effects of this and I'm thinking maybe CEN. Analysts quoted in the
newspaper
seem to think it is undervalued and they are supported by a share buyback.
Contact
obviously don't need to distribute their product through a fleet of trucks.
They
are an energy company other than oil and I think even if customers are spending
less in the retail sector due to higher prices, they'll still need to use power.
Then again I have no idea what the ratio is of industrial/domestic power
consumption. The generator that is out of action might I guess be seen as bad
news and affecting price but I heard it is being fixed at no cost and shouldn't
be
a long term problem. What does eveyone think?
By the way - Sorry to the group and Bob for the below which I wrote without
having read the subsequent more eloquent message from Ben.
