[sharechat] Ramping, picks, freedom of speech
Dear All
I've been following some of the correspondence on ramping, etc. I've gotta
say I admire that kid who made all that money by "talking up" stock prices.
As for people "ramping" on this newsgroup, I couldn't care less if someone
is trying to ramp up a share price or not. Caveat emptor I say. If you
haven't done your homework, and rely on the ramblings expressed on this
show, then you deserve to get your fingers burned. Ben, I think you do a
good job in allowing people to express their opinions, and I hope you don't
have to censor too many (including this one).
Speaking of "ramping", here are my picks for the medium term (to Xmas - not
for day traders):
1. Sell FEG. SELL, SELL (this is unlike those brokers isn't it?). The
price will drop over the med. term so TAKE THE PROFIT! I've been saying
this for over a month now, and the price has constantly proved me wrong.
However, never be ashamed of taking a profit, despite the price spiking
higher.
2. HOLD WHS. Keep a close eye on their performance in Australia. It could
make or break them.
3. STAG Genesis. Again, take the profit, it may be the only one you'll
make on this company.
4. BUY TAS. Farm sales are holding very well. A tidy profit to be made
here.
5. BUY SCL at or below $0.85. Recent bad press has been made more out of
petty jealousy rather than any proper in-depth analysis.
Disc. I've just done all of these. That's either "ramping" or putting my
money where my mouth is.
Stay lucky people. I'm going on holiday.
Sam
