Hi Peter/Mike
the WHS/HD thing crossed my mind, but I really only bought it for the
seasonal run. I'll sell it before Christmas regardless of price, unless
I stop out.  I didnt advise Brian to buy it by the way, only that I had
it.
HD are getting into South America, they are counting on success there to
maintain growth. As Mike said, p/e at 48 is steep for a retailer, but
once again the prospect of online sales as you mentioned, means p/e
could just as well be 148, wouldnt matter.  Nice to see it rise
yesterday when Dow was off 100 odd, but it lost $2 today. You still have
that research paper Peter. I did one on Waste Management about 3 years
ago....should have bought it, would have done ok.
I wont raise the ethics thing again, good on HD, though most companies
are scum, so use and abuse 'em.
Mike, I see a few analysts prefer Lowes to HD, but I think your right
about being #1 v #2. Alot of funds that want some retail in the mix will
just go for the biggest cap.
