I was just perusing through Sharechat's news archive and I note that Tag Pacific (TPC) makes known both their record date and payment date.

"A dividend of 0.6cps (unfranked) is proposed, record date 27/10/2000, payable
23/11/2000."

Perhaps it depends on the company issuing the announcement, or are the announcements rewritten/summarised by the information provider before we receive them?
