Dear Oli I think you are looking at the unlisted market the wrong way. What you need to do is look at the people running the companies listed on the secondary market, and the potential for each company for growth, and ultimately to then list on the main board. eg Small time operations like Kapiti cheese or Submarine Adventures may one day make good profits, but growth prospects are somewhat limited. On the will other hand, Blis and A2 have huge potential for growth. The emphasis is on potential - whether it is realised or not depends on who's running and who's backing the company. So now you can have another look at the companies - eg: A2 and Blis - Howard Paterson (net worth estimated > 100 million). I wouldn't look at the last 2 weeks trading, otherwise the "thru the floor" comment is valid. However, growth prospects for these two companies are immense, and with HP behind them, they must be worth backing. Wilson Neill - Again, very good growth prospects, but the blokes running the show in my opinion are not heavyweights in the corporate field. WDT - HUGE potential, but again journeyman management could stymie this potential. Needs a very good backer or perhaps a major takeover to realise the potential. Indranet, zedex, - Very slick management, shame about the product. That's my 2 cents. The main point I'm trying to make is to look past the charts and todays prices and suss out the growth potential and management. Otherwise I fear that your luck may continue to run out.
