According to analysts Newcall needs a customer base of 25,000 to break even. Mr Guy Pierce from Newcall wrote in an reply e-mail to me the following:

19th August 2000

The Newcall telephony base is approximately 25,000. The half year result
should be announced in the last week of August and we also plan to give
shareholders an update on the Singapore opportunity.

I for myself keep a close eye on it for the next 2 weeks especially about the Singapore deal.

Newcall look to be in freefall, down another 7% today.
I'm holding a few at this stage but beginning to fear the worst.
Has somebody got wind of a less than satisfactory interim result?
I'd be grateful for any advice or comment.
