[sharechat] ITC
My view on ITC and the market reaction is that the sale of Exonet initially
is dissapointing. The sale that is, not the price. I initially bought into
ITC primarily because it was the only way to get a piece of Exonet which I
saw as a company with a long term future of growth and
profitability. However,ITC is not an investment company and I think the
market possibly hasn't yet got a handle on the concept of venture capital
and especially a listed company operating as a "venture capitalist".As an
investor in ITC I have now lost my exposure to Exonet and there are no doubt
other investors and possibly institutions who are now no longer interested
in ITC and are providing the selling pressure.
As for ITC itself, I see this latest sale as being proof of the company
actually operating as it was designed to operate and it would at first
glance appear to be a very good deal.If this sort of action can be continued
(bearing in mind that this is the first substantial deal that they have
done) then I think it augers well for the future profitability of the
company and certainly builds my confidence in its management.
