[sharechat] Strathmore/Commsoft offer - flop?
Max,
The strategy (and timing) behind the marketing of any new offering in
today's highly-aware market is critical....and this is why some stocks
attract lots of interest...while others are doomed to failure. With respect
to SMR, I thought that the company's announcement yesterday was extremely
not user-friendly and without the essential ingredients that investors would
be looking for (i.e. badly written). This has been mentioned by someone on
Sharechat last night and I share the same sentiments. There has been lots of
interest in SMR in the last week (probably those with the inside running)
but I doubt whether it can be sustained. If I had SMR shares, I would
seriously consider whether I would want to exchange my shares for a company
that I have not even sighted the fundamentals on. I'd rather profit-take
right now and if sometime down the track, the fundamentals are made public
and they look attractive enough, I may buy in on the open market. If they
don't, I am still sitting very nicely on my profits. Just my thoughts.
David Thompson
