If this is the same Argus Corp that I am thinking of it is an outfit operating out of New York (or it may be the Philippines, the Bahamas or Amsterdam; I am pestered by a few of these people and I can't remember which is which)
 
They usually start by asking if they can send you some info and then they follow up a few weeks later with a phone call. All these companies have a similar spiel about how they want your business and to prove it they will let you in on a small deal $5k to $20k so you can check them out.
 
They are known as "boiler rooms" and are basically con men. You won't see your money again.
 
I am not saying that this company is one of those, it could be something entirely different and respectable but does the modus operandi sound familiar?
