I wasn't referring to productivity gains Hugh but factory shut-downs. Point taken though. Re: Narena's comments. Overuse of nitrogen and lack of mineral replacement etc. has resulted in diseased animals and consequently diseased humans - through lack of nutrition (don't bother asking your drug monkey (General Practitioner)!). This of course applies equally to crops and stock. When I lived in your country, I had to freight organic food in because the supermarkets didn't stock it. And bunnies are sitting in universities and parliament trying to figure out why NZ's health bill is going through the roof.
