GEN: FFS: CITIC STATEMENT RECEIVED
 
The following statement was received from CITIC in response to an article in
today's NZ Herald under the heading "Chinese whispers on Fletcher Forests
sale."
Greg Malloy, CITIC NZ said:
"CITIC is involved in a protracted dispute with Fletcher Forests over the
Central North Island Forestry Partnership and is disappointed with the lack
of progress in negotiating a settlement.  Our High Court action to resolve
the dispute continues on schedule."
