Maybe 'assimilate' is a better word. Resistance is futile!

But seriously, I was wandering the same thing. Maybe this is why they are 
doing it now. At this early stage of e-commerce it may appear less 
anti-competitive than it would in a few years time when such firms are fully 
established.

Don't know if LIB are a merger target or not, but I think that they may have 
been over-sold because of their announcement not to take up the Excite 
option.
