Dear ShareChat Forum Users and John White,

We have taken legal advice following the issue John White, CEO of DF
Mainland Limited, raised in the ShareChat Forum on Thursday 8 June, 2000.

ShareChat Limited would like to make the following statements.

ShareChat would like to remind people that any usage of the Forum is subject

which clearly states "ShareChat Limited, its associates and any other
related party are under no circumstances responsible for the postings and
messages on the message boards and e-mail discussion list (forum) by
participants. The postings reflect the views of the originators, not those
of ShareChat Limited, unless otherwise specified".

John White has specifically drawn attention to a posting by "Chris".
ShareChat believes that Chris's post is clearly an expression of his
opinion. ShareChat and its officers have no reason to doubt that it was not
Chris's genuine opinion.

When John White wrote to the Forum we removed Chris's post pending legal
advice.  Since that time, Chris has withdrawn his remarks (see his Email of
Thursday 8 June 2000).

In view of this, there seems little point in posting the Email again.  Such
should not be seen as any admission of liability on our part.

Thus, ShareChat will not be taking this matter any further.
