A recent news indicate that a few hundred doctors
are fleeing the country and the Government is considering to spend(another
spending) some money to train up those doctors who migrated to this country but
could not find a doctor's job.
The news did not mention what is the
reason why those doctors leaving this country, but I guess this is
something to do with the new 39% income tax for tax payers with annual income of
more than $60,000.
I believe these doctors are good doctors
because they can easily find a new job overseas. I have no doubt that
some migrated doctors are also good doctors, the reason why they could not
find a doctor's job is because local doctors' boycott. I can image once these doctors get trained up and find a job, the
next thing they would do is leaving this country, because they did not want to
pay 39% income tax either.
What our government and taxpayer like you and me
earned?
Nothing! The government did not increase its
income tax revenue, but increase its spending. What the society of N.Z.
got? Some second class doctors!
If the Labour government did not change its
economic policy dramatically, I expect to see more good people, and more good
money(capital) would flee this country!
