Virtual Spectator director Ian Taylor flies to United States today seeking new business opportunities involving the firm's innovative motor sport graphics.
The multi media firm recently completed design of a tracking system used to create "photo-realistic" 3D animated coverage of the Queenstown Gold Rush Hill Climb held over Easter.
Animations of the hill climb appeared in a Television NZ documentary on Sunday night and will also appear on the world's
leading sports channel, ESPN, in America, Mr. Taylor said.
The TVNZ documentary had sparked many telephone inquiries to Virtual Spectator yesterday, including a call from Singapore, Mr. Taylor said in an interview........
Mr. Taylor said top drivers had been "amazed" at what the graphics had shown......
These graphics bring an entirely different dimension to the sport....
VS programmer created the animation in only a month.....
In the two months since the America,s Cup the firm had also developed a fully integrated Formula One racing graphics prototype (Mclaren and Ford F1 viewed it late April) and a "cutting edge" television golfing package.........
