[sharechat] Aquaria Debacle:

From: "Rob Henderson" <robhenderson@paradise.net.nz>

What has happened with AQL is entirely predictable IMHO (and in fact i did
hint at such an eventuality here a couple of months back). Regardless, whats
really sad is that many unsuspecting investors, and probably in many cases
inexperienced investors less well positioned to afford to lose their
investment, have been burnt -

What will be the next development with this charade? Answer = absolutely
nothing -

Likely result -

1 - overseas institutional investors will continue to regard our corporate
governance as "third world" and give us a miss
2 - the private investor (that's right, those investors who are "not
interested in market depth information" according to the NZSE) will once
again be spooked from investing in the NZ sharemarket
3 - the market will slowly die and no one will take any responsibility
either now or in hindsight

So, who else would love to know where the private placements went huh? Any
guesses? Maybe that could be the next sharechat competition but the only
problem would be no one is going to get the answer -
