[sharechat] IT CAPITAL

1/ Safeguard Scientifics, a major shareholder in IT Capital (14%) recently
held a conference to highlight their activities. An Article from April 25th
announced this:

"Safeguard Announces Think Again! Spring Conference Safeguard's Annual
Conference to Highlight Infrastructure Focus and Partner Company Synergies -
to be held on May 1 - 2, 2000 in New York. Safeguard recently announced its
new Internet infrastructure focus and will expand on its strategic vision
for 2000 as a complement to its strong foundation in B2B. In addition,
Safeguard will feature its collaborative strategy with Internet Capital
Group. The conference will be available for listeners at www.vcall.com. This
year's conference, which builds upon the success of the Safeguard's first
Think Again! Conference held last fall, focuses on the infrastructure market
and Safeguard's strong partner company synergies. It will feature
presentations from experts such as best-selling author Donald Tapscott and
Merrill Lynch Internet Analyst Henry Blodget, as well as highlight several
of Safeguard's partner companies, including Internet Capital Group, Opus360,
eMerge Interactive, Redleaf Group, WebTelecom and Wireless OnLine, among
others. The purpose of the conference is to promote the synergies within the
Safeguard network and create a forum for Safeguard's partner companies to
highlight their unique and exciting business models. Over 400 senior-level
Internet executives and investment analysts from the Internet infrastructure
and B2B e-commerce arenas are expected to attend..."

There's an Audio recording of the sessions (not sure where/how to get
written transcript) at
http://www.vcall.com/NASApp/VCall/Custom.jsp?fileName=thinkagain!0501_0200.htm
Just select the IT Capital recording (or any other listed).
Most interesting bit is around minutes 14 to 20!

2/ IT Capital closed on NASDAQ Friday evening up 4c or 30.7% to $US0.17c

3/ A Raging Bull investor (KRABJW) has created his own excellent Website on
IT Capital material. Well worth a look at
http://itcapital.homestead.com Plenty of reading on IT Capital at Raging
Bull . NASDAQ code is ICALF

4/ IT Capital is also partly owned by Science Center International, Snider
Capital and Cross-Atlantic Capital Partners, all well-known venture capital
coys. IBM and Compaq have recently invested US$50 million in Safeguard
Scientifics, and have also invested directly into IT Capital. This apart
from the IT Capital strategic alliance with Ernst and Young (announced
4/4/00).

I could go on, but I have a few other shares I need to focus on too!
My message is that this company's share price SHOULD be doing a whole lot
better than it is, or else I/we are very wrong about what makes a good
Venture Capital company!
I hold plenty of IT Capital and will probably have more on Monday if Fridays
close = Monday's opening.
