a note from the Iguana team:

Last night a major fibre link in Melbourne was cut, and this morning someone 
cut the backup.

Access, Stockwatch among others are hosted by Iguana in Sydney so this explains 
your problem, supposing your ISP is routing you
through Melbourne.

Paradise and Xtra are fine but IHUG does go through Melbourne although it 
really should find you another path.

The ASX has halted trading - they told me it'd be back online in 15, that was 
20 mins ago and the latest news (that the backup is
cut too) indicates it's very serious.

Disclaimer: this is only the word on the street.
