It was reported that SIA will pay BIL an earnout clause of either 50c or
$1.00 more if Air NZ profit performance improve by either 30% or 65%
(for the year ending June 2000?).
I suspect BIL will not have agreed to the clause unless they know AIR
NZ is likely to achieve this. And why wouldn't they know- after all
Selwyn Cushing is chairman of both AIR NZ and BIL. Anyone else share my
thoughts?.
If BIL do finally get additional payment small shareholders who have
already sold out to SIA at a bargain at $3.00 per share sold too early.
