Re: Re: [sharechat] Online brokers - who's the best? Not Access

Online brokers have their place!
I have dealt with at least half a dozen "regular" brokers over the last 30
years.
One has been and is EXCELLENT!
Two have been very good and the rest - well lest not dwell on that.

If all you want to do is buy and sell (ie short term trades/low value) then
I find the online brokers are worth the money. I would caution thinking
that the trades on the exchange are as slow as reflected on the brokers
webpages.

I have checked a number of trades placed. The online action is way way
ahead of it being reported on your orders page. And yes I have used ACCESS
without any major grumbles on speed.

PS. If you can't get anyone on the phone(it happens) then phone speed is
also slow. I remember trying to get my broker on the phone in the 87 crash.
Took 90 minutes of hitting the redial key!

Cheers

Roy
