As one of the shrinking violets, I also think Ben you should lighten up.
Most of the newsgroups I monitored seem to be self regulating although I
suspect that anyone who crosses the line is just unceremoniously dumped.
Many of the posts use an English that I don't understand anyway so I
wouldn't know if they are being rude or not.

The free flow of information is what it is all about but as the web gets
more and more commercialised there are too many that want to restrict
the flow and the main targets are newsgroups and the like.There's a lot
about the NZ market that we all need to get a bit rude about. I am
inclined to think there is no need for more regulation of the NZ market
and that these groups, given their rightful freedom, will take care of
it. However, I appreciate the pressure Ben is probably under from those
who don't like the free flow of information. Its getting pretty brutal
out there.
