Sorry Timothy,
But I disagree with what you have said.
I am not censoring anything - no posts have been removed. I have
merely gently asked some people to refrain from unconstructive criticism.
Calling companies "Dogs" and "Ugly Direct" etc. lowers the whole tone of this
forum.
I also have to say that your comment "your earlier attempt to censor
content about brokers appeared to be motivated by an attempt to keep favour with
your advertisers (viz. D F Mainland). This is hardly in the tradition of free
speech." is absolutely untrue.
First, DFM has never been an advertiser on ShareChat.
Second, nothing was censored - once again, no posts were removed.
Third, even if DFM was a ShareChat advertiser, criticism of the company
would not be censored because of any commercial relationship. In the
instance you are talking about, some of the comments that were being posted were
innuendo and untrue, compromising DFM's credibility as a member of the
NZSE. In that case, I suggested that if people had a problem with DFM,
they should take it up with the company themselves, as opposed to airing their
views on ShareChat.
Remember, all postings to ShareChat are subject to our legal disclaimer,
which you can read here:
