How do you know that the company will be insolvent if the issue fails? Matthew Darby on Telstra Business said that the NZ arm of the business would be profitable by next year. The other float money will be used for expansion into Australia and Canada, as well as investments into other Internet sites and projects. Mr Darby seemed to think that the backend structure that they have built for CDStar has just as much financial viability (through licensing etc I assume) as selling the CDs themselves. Some contrary thoughts to the below post nevertheless - I haven't seen nor read the prospectus yet.
