> Hi Kevin, > are you able to supply anymore detail on Probe, products they are > working on etc? Maybe I can help here. As part of the CD we produced for TradeNZ last year we filmed 8 video case studies... Genesis was in there, as was Probe... Probe is a biotechnology company based in Auckland. Their managing Director is Chris Gedye. Probe's strategic focus is "the development of biopharmaceuticals using new technologies...", by Probe and its partners in the US. Their flagship product is HRG214, an anti-AIDS drug currently completeing trials in the US, Australia, and Mexico. Double blind trials (done near the end of the trial process) were timetabled for completion in 1999. They're also producing another immunne system modifier called Induct 315, which is effective against a range of disease, being trialled primarily on HepC patients. Probe's key science and production facilities are here, in NZ, and they work on some advanced development with University facilities here and in Australia, and with private labs in the US. They have international patents pending on their major products. Probe is currently 100 percent privately owned, equity funded with no debt. This info is all a year old now, however Gedye does say that "Probe will look to have one product at, or close to market before a public listing on the Nasdaq would be considered...) So NZSE penny dreadful fodder they ain't. Probably a little out of *my* budget range for a "private placement" too... har har ... :) But I imagine if you've got 25K to wield they'd be a sure bet. If anyone want to see the video, I've chucked it up at http://www.hyperactive.co.nz/downloads/ although even compressed, its still 3 megs (5 mins long)... Time to get ADSL, folks, or even better, 10MB/ps wireless... :) Phil Williams ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
