This deal with
fletcher paper is an example of why it
is foolish to move all shareholder funds off
shore due to the
percieved poor performance of new zealand
stocks.
As i pointed out last week, fundamentals do matter and
recently our market has had on offer the best
value stocks of almost
anywhere in the world.
NZ
prices couldnt fall much lower than recently and there
is still big upside potential. The paper deal
highlights this.
Paper
like most nz stocks is worth much more than their
share prices would suggest and this situation
cannot last indefinatly
as they become takeover targets.
