I've been reading this thread with interest. I am a professional musician. I have a collection of thousands of CDs and I have friends also musos or professional musicians likewise with large collections of CDs. I have a computer and internet connection right here in the house but I have NEVER purchased CDs from the net. To the best of my knowledge neither has anyone I know. Just thought I'd throw this in to the discussion. cheers michael ----- Original Message ----- From: "Phil Williams" <phil@hyperactive.co.nz> To: <sharechat@sharechat.co.nz> Sent: Sunday, April 02, 2000 12:47 AM Subject: Re: [sharechat] EStar Online > > Selling CD's over the net is so 1999.... > > Check out www.napster.com > (snip) > > My pick - Estar will be washed up within 2 years of listing and will become > > the next shelf company for the next "new new thing" in 2002 > > > Adam. > So harsh. > So true. > > Quite shortly, the music industry as we have known it will look so different > it's momma wouldn't recognise it, thanks to the democracy of "content > sharing". > Or whatever other eupemism you want to give to stuff like Napster (which > rocks, BTW - I want THEIR shares.... :) > > Phil > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- > http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors > To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at > http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html. > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sharechat.co.nz/ New Zealand's home for market investors To remove yourself from this list, please us the form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
