[sharechat] News on INL
I was surfing the net last night and from what I have
read, it is little wonder that INL has maintained its
continuing price rise. Apparently, Rupert Murdoch
(whose Newscorp company owns over 49% of INL) recently
dispatched his trusted lieutenant Peter Chernin to
talk to Jerry Yang, co-founder of Yahoo, about
investing in its satellite operations.
Chernin and Murdoch also recently visited Nokia
executives to discuss an alliance with the wireless
telephone company, and the pair have also been
chatting with Bill Gates of Microsoft.
Why? Analysts reckon Murdoch is accelerating his new
strategy for his worldwide group of media companies to
also provide internet content via satellite and
wireless links.
It was mentioned on Sharechat a couple of days ago
about the work being carried out on INL's new internet
portal and site (and this has also been reported in
overseas articles as promising to be quite
spectacular), and also the inclusion of Craig Heatley
to the INL Board, an extremely interesting move.
As already known, Heatley co-owns eVentures together
with Newscorp and Softbank of Japan.
Now check this out! Softbank also owns 30 percent of
Yahoo and chunks of more than 100 other US-based
Internet companies.
And Murdoch is so serious about internet development
for his group of companies that he recently appointed
his son, James, executive vice-president responsible
for new media worldwide.
All rather interesting, isn't it?
