Dear RIL, You know, Jim Andertons call for NZ'ers overseas may be a laughable joke, but it's attitudes like the one displayed in your posting that really make me ill. > London is a lifestyle choice. Interesting people, great history, > architecture, libraries, museums, plays etc. But I guess if you want to > sit on a beach with a bunch of inarticulate beer guzzling morons who > can't string a sentence together then NZ is your place. You mean the morons who work (and drink) with me on the weekends? The one with the 6 month old multi-million dollar business? Or the ones doing the worlds best digital animation in the Hutt Valley? I could go on... > Personally if I never see the place again I'll be happy. You obviously crave the smog, crime and human overload that engulfs London, and as an individual you have every right to live there. But you'll be back here when you're 70, like everyone else with citizenship, because this is the most beautiful developed nation in the world. Clean air and a good latte. The real shame is that every person who runs like a lemming to the lure of London or New York, making smug statements like yours, does so simply because they believe the myth that you can't "make it" in New Zealand. That's BS. The best ideas are global. You can start one from here as anywhere else. Keep viperous postings like that to yourself in future so I don't have to waste my time rebutting you, your condescension is insufferable.
