[sharechat] Chasing Savoy today/Wizard
Wilfried is right on all counts. I hold Savoy shares and I don't intend to
sell but if I did, there's no way in a million years that I would sell out
under 7c this morning. The stock has previously gone up to 9c on a rumour;
it is the only wireless internet trading stock on the NZSE's main board at
the moment; the rest of the competition have not listed on the main board
yet.
If I were to buy SVY today, I too would look at the possible price rise,
determine my expectations in that regard, and settle on a bid price which
will ensure that I get my shares ahead of the queue.
I have learnt from past experience that trying to get stocks at the cheapest
possible price is not the option to take when a rally is in swing and there
are profits to make at any point along the way for at least a few more days
(e.g.Savoy). Once you have made up your mind to invest in a stock, you have
to decide quickly which point gives you the greatest opportunity to obtain
shares and then go for it.
