Wish I knew. There is the discussion going on that Telstra has
announced its going to partially spin off some businesses and it
should be a pretty good bet that Telecom will too given its need for large
chunks of cash for the AAPT
CDMA program. I did see that another broker has put a higher price on
Telecom of $9.50 and that if the spin-off businesses were given the
appropriate
valuation they would be worth $19 billion against a total valuation of all
Telecom
on the market now of $15 billion.
Here's hoping the mythical informed and intelligent market will
materialise.
