Someone recently was asking about an Australian company dealing in fibre optics, was it you Osbert???There is a company called Fibertel approx A$1.50 listed, who through there subsidiary Amcom are networking a large part of the Adelaide market. They have purposely chosen to stay out of the big cities ie,Sydney,Melbourne etc to "conquer" the smaller cities.Apparently they have done quite well in local Perth and I suppose are now "spreading their wings".Haven't got any figures for them, but some predictions are for another Davnet/Powertel,etc.Data communications is an exploding market according to KPMG....stay tuned!
