Hi folks, I agree that Montana is a good company with solid prospects; I have held stock for 7 years and intend to continue holding into the forseeable future. I was prompted to buy into the company the year Montana (CIL then) announced the establishing of a permanent office in UK to handle European sales. i figured if they could sell coals to Newcastle they must have something. I mention this because its a route that several NZ wine Cos. have more recently undertaken but Montana have the advantage of selling known brands (the hardest yards have been run).To date Montana still cannot satisfy demand for premium varietals. For this reason I am not sure how far we should take comparison with beer; Great NZ wines are impossible to produce under licence in Shanghai, I would have thought. Meanwhile, GPG are on the register and Montana may well attract hostile attention from one of the big Ozzies. Speaking of which I would welcome comments on Simeon Wines from the point of view of a long term buy.
