[sharechat] RBD, Pizza Hut & KFC

Phil, your experience was quite funny (from a readers point of view that is).
I too have 'experienced' KFC some time ago. Similar experience but my XTC was
over-cooked to the point where once I had chewed the stuff off on the outside
- it was like striking a cardboard mine. However, the place down the road
from me buzzes on a Friday night so someone likes it. As for Pizza Hut, I
went there numerous times last year (I admit that I was dragged there each and
every time). What I saw during the year was a decline in the quality of the
food (last time, a complaint about the brown colour of the lettuce led to the
dumping of new lettuce on top of the old without removing it) and an increase
in the 'child factor'. Children, surprisingly, have a strong influence on the
average NZ'ers dining habits (wallets). For example: they recently promoted
Pokemon jigsaws (and if you didn't know, we are currently in the age of the
Pokemon). Secondly, they have unlimited access to gooey deserts ensuring
one's child will not turn their nose up or go hungry and if a drink is
accidentally spilled, it is only one of many and won't result in an
embarrassing moment for either Mum or Dad. And thirdly, a lot of NZ families
likes to escape the tedium of cooking every night of the week (like everyone)
so often it's a matter of cash that decides where and how they dine.
