Amy, sorry...it's US board slang...  here's a few
others we use:

FWIW = For What It's Worth
IMVHO = In My Very Humble Opinion
BTW = By The Way
LOL = Laughing Out Loud
ROFLMAO = Rolling on the Floor and Laughing My Ass Off
(for when something is REALLY funny)
MMs = Market Makers

and finally...

BOMP!  Which is the sound of a shorter's head hitting
the floor when he's caught in a short squeeze.
