My picks for the greatest (potential) return are 8, 15, 23, 31, 35, 40. Keep an eye on TV2 on Sat night for the results. Seriously though, I'm a bit cynical of IT hopefuls with no proven track record which seem to be the centre of this new "pass the buck" mania we've seen emerge over the last few months, but that's just my unedukated opinion! My picks for the first half: NOGOB (my only 'spec' but I believe it is well worth a look, see recent announcements), TAY (solid business, look out for Spotless making a takeover offer), PDL (benefitting from stronger NZ economy) Admittedly some of the IT hopefuls will probably outperform in the short term but where is their proven track record and will they all still be here in a year's time? Call me conservative, but I treat most shares like a product - ie when I buy something I look for something that I can depend on over the long term, which is proven, and which will last. It will be an interesting year I reckon! Anyone watching the Aust market? What are your picks? Cheers, H. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remove yourself from this list, email sharechat-request@sharechat.co.nz with "unsubscribe" in the body of the message, or use the unsubscription form at http://www.sharechat.co.nz/forum.html.
