Cadmus Technology (NZSE: CTL) has picked up a $1.5 million Australian order for its new data capture terminals.

The order has been placed by Australian e-commerce business, On Q Business Systems, which wants to buy 1,000 of the Cadmus AC4500G products.

Cadmus says the order is its first in the Australian marketplace and will see delivery of 400 terminals in the next two months and the rest delivered throughout next year.

"With the announcement of sales of 1,000 Cadmus credit card and Eftpos terminals to PaySys International (Malaysia) Ltd in June of this year, this new agreement gives the company an international base of 2,000 terminals," Cadmus says.

The company says its AC4500G is a standalone multipurpose terminal with a high resolution touch panel, backlit graphics display and inbuilt internet connectivity.

MD Ian Bailey says the latest order validates the company's R&D focus over the past 12 months.

"NZ is one of the most advanced payments solutions markets in the world. The products we develop here have a first-to-market advantage in Australia and the Asia Pacific region."
