Telecom Corp of New Zealand today said it has entered into three separate global alliance agreements that will allow it to boost global data traffic and explore new possibilities with broadband technologies.

The company, which owns Australia's third largest telecommunications provider AAPT, has signed separate agreements with Verizon Communications, NTT Communications Corp and Cable & Wireless Plc.

Telecom NZ will terminate data traffic for Verizon, NTT Communications and Cable & Wireless in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Also the three companies will terminate Telecom's data traffic in their respective regions: Verizon in the United States, NTT Communications in Asia, and Cable & Wireless to the rest of the world.
